Black Belts Seminar of the Western District of Polish Full Contact Karate Organization
On January 6-8, 2023, Black Belts Seminar of the Western District of Polish Full Contact Karate Organization took place in Kolobrzeg. The organizer of this event was the Kyokushin Karate Kolobrzeg BUNTAI Dojo led by Paweł Falko Sensei. We were supported by the Municipality of Kolobrzeg, the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center and WebNext. The seminar was held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Kolobrzeg City, Mrs. Mayor Anna Mieczkowska. 40 black and brown belts attended in the seminar. Five training units were divided into different topics in accordance with the idea of Shin Gi Tai – mind, technique, body.
Friday’s keiko was hosted by Paweł Falko 4 Dan sensei and Radosław Ambroziak 4 Dan sensei. Sensei Paweł Falko welcomed the guests and presented a detailed plan of the seminar. After the introductory part, he presented kihon techniques focusing on Uke (blocks) and their interpretation, and dachi (positions) and mainly Kiba Dachi (rider’s position) and its practical application in real combat. Sensei Radosław Ambroziak presented the rules of knockdown karate in three aspects and three methods of fighting.
Saturday was divided into 3 training units. The morning practice was conducted by a guest specially invited to this seminar, Dominik “Domino” Malkowski Sensei Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Sensei Dominik Małkowski is a very experienced instructor and competitor with great knowledge, and he shared this knowledge with us with pure pleasure and openness. The main aspect of this training was the control of the opponent on the ground.
The middle training was led by Marek Wilusz 4 Dan Sensei and Wiesław Więckowski 4 Dan Sensei. Our colleagues focused on introducing Ikken to us. Sensei Marek Wilusz discussed and presented the base and introduction to ikken as well as introductory exercises. Sensei Wiesław Więckowski led the second part where we focused on the practical use of Ikken explosive energy.
The evening training was dedicated to Yoga. Iwona Kulis Sempai, after presenting the idea and what Yoga is, conducted a 15-minute meditation and started training. During the training we practiced several positions stretching mainly the spine. The poses presented by Sempai Iwona activated muscles previously unknown to us in most of us.
The Sunday morning training was conducted for us by the group “Young Lions” appointed by sensei Paweł Falko. Martyna Gralak Sempai, Julia Iwan Sempai, Szymon Dusza Sempai and Aleksander Ambroziak Sempai learned on Friday that they will have the pleasure of conducting the last training unit. The main topic of this training was kumite.
To sum up this event… It was a great seminar, in the Spirit of Osu, surrounded by Smiling People. A lot of knowledge and positive energy will stay with us for the whole year.

On December 17-18, a seminar and a qualifying exam were held, the exam was up to 6 kyu.
DAN graduation test/Brazil
On December 17th, the DAN graduation test took place in the Canoas city/Brazil.
8 candidates were approved for 1st Dan.
The third round of Iran Open Sokyokushin Karate tournament
On March 1st, we will hold the third round of Iran Open Sokyokushin Karate tournament with a special cash prize in Tehran. These competitions are conducted in a special and unique way by Shihan and Vahid Behrman. We are the champions from the first place to the eighth. We give an exquisite prize of money, caps and medals. Sokyokushin Karate Iran is the only style that, among other Kyokushin organizations in Iran, organizes major tournaments with cash prizes.
Winter seminar 2023 in Tromsø
Norwegian So Kyokushin winter seminar 2023 and new black belts.
Last weekend of February 2023 Shihan Hugo Perez from Canada will visit us for a winter seminar.
We are looking forward to see Shihan Hugo again in Norway.
At last summer’s summercamp we had a dan test and Norwegian So Kyokushin got two new black belts.

On the 3rd and 4th of December, the Caraguatatuba Camp event was held. Year-end commemorative training was a great success and brought together a large number of Kyokushin Karate practitioners.

On November 27th, the Kyu graduation test and the Kyokushin Karate State Championship took place in the city of Canoas/Brazil.
Success of the Polish So-Kyokushin National Team at the European Championships
Last weekend the Polish IKO World So-Kyokushin National Team took part in the European Championships organized by the WKB federation in which 670 fighters from 17 countries and 10 different fullcontact organizations took part.
Polish So-Kyokushin fighters did very well, so I would like to send you a report and pictures from that event in order to post it on the official So-Kyokushin website.

Success of the Polish So-Kyokushin National Team at the European Championships – Report
On November 12-13, 2022, a strong representation of IKO World So-Kyokushin Poland took part in the 5th European Kyokushin Karate Weight Championship organized by the WKB federation in Dębica. There were 670 competitors from 17 European countries and 10 contact karate organizations. Such a large number of competitors and organizational diversity meant that the fights were at a very high level and it was extremely difficult to win a medal from this event. Nevertheless, our players presented themselves great and won a huge bag of medals, including 8 gold, 9 silver and 8 bronze medals.

COPA OYAMA(In Barcelona Spain)
In Barcelona Spain On November 19, 2022, an international Kyokushinkai Karate tournament called ” COPA OYAMA ” took place at the Polisportiva LA BASTIDA in Barcelona. About 400 athletes from various countries and divided by age and weight categories participate in the tournament. Representing SO-Kyokushin Italia, seven athletes from Parabita, Sannicola, Collepasso were selected by Shihan Casto Samuele, who achieved excellent placements bringing our colors to the top step of the podium with MARTA ADDOLORATA FERSINI 1st classified in the category and ASIA GRECO third place in the same category. Every single victory was obtained by scoring precious points with precise and effective techniques, as required by the international Kyokushinkai regulation and this facilitated the refereeing decisions without the need for other evaluations regarding the assignment of the victory. The commitment, perseverance and dedication of our athletes Marta and Asia are also the success of our colors and the satisfaction of Shihan Casto Samuele who represented Sokyokushin in Spain with the Italian flag. Shihan complimented the students proposing new horizons on the martial path of both. On this occasion, I, Sensei Centonze and Sensei Greco, were able to meet and greet the dearest Sensei Grzegorz Stachurski, manager and head of the So-Kyokushin branch in Spain.
